Our MediSys Ambulance teams deliver emergency response and inter-facility transport to hospitals, residences, and doctor's offices.We are seeking a Per Diem On Call Dispatcher to join our Transportation Coordination Center and support the daily operations of our Motor Transportation Department.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and monitor daily driver schedules, adjusting as neededCoordinate communications between drivers, departments, and outside vendors using radio, cellular, and paging systemsReceive and process emergent and non-emergent patient transport requestsMaintain daily logs, registers, and computer records; input call data accuratelyCoordinate staff transportation needs with outside vendorsAssist during hospital emergencies or disasters following established protocolsReview, collate, and forward ambulance call reports in a timely mannerPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff Tagged as: dispatcher, per diem RequirementsCollege degree preferredExcellent leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skillsPrior experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or related customer service roles preferredComputer proficiency and data entry skills; EPIC experience a plusBasic knowledge of medical terminologyMust be available to work weekends and holidaysRequired Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Why Join MediSys / Jamaica HospitalCompetitive pay: $24.18/hr.Flexible per diem scheduleWork in a fast-paced, impactful role within a major NYC hospital systemCollaborate with a dedicated, professional healthcare team
