The Senior Specifier acts as a regional expert and mentor in architectural specifications. In addition to producing specifications for large or complex projects, they provide oversight, guidance, and quality control for the work of regional project specifiers, as well as help evolve firm standards while ensuring rigorous and consistent specifications execution.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nServe as the primary specifier on large-scale or high-risk projects, working directly with project teams to compose project specifications ensuring internal drawing/specifications coordination and project compliance with laws, regulations, and codes in coordination with global project requirements.\nMentor project leadership in the development of individual project specifications.\nAttend client and consultant meetings with focus on specifications.\nProvide mentorship, coaching, and Quality Control oversight for Project Specifiers across the region/practice area.\nRemain current and research innovative industry systems and products to ensure construction documents include accurate, up-to-date products and systems.\nAssist in workload distribution and specifier assignment for regional needs.\nAssist with Master Specifications maintenance in the form of relaying regional updates, issues, and innovations to the Director of Specifications.\nCoordinate with Digital Practice to improve linkages between project models and specifications.\n\nQualifications & Skills\n\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture is strongly preferred.
