As part of this team you will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution .\n\nThe EMMETT program, a next gen Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system, establishes a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), finds RSOs of interest, and provides data to ground operators. The EMMETT team uses: programmatics , sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.\n\nWhat you'll do supporting the Common Data Services (CDS) on EMMETT :\n\nProvide TS/SCI Java software development of modules. Some of these techniques include but are not limited to, event-driven or state-driven programming, error logging, and exception handling.\nPerform TS/SCI software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services at the unit, module, and system levels.\nPerform all aspects of software engineering support required to implement systems.\nAdhere to open standards and modern software development methodologies, including what is considered 'best' practices by Industry to the extent that operational requirements will allow.\nProvide technical reports, white papers and other documentation as required to documents findings of all software engineering service activities.\nQualifications\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nA Bachelor's degree with 1 0 + years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 8 + years of relevant experience . Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree\nThis position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.\nMust be proficient in with Java (Model, Entity, Data Transfer Object (DTO), Data Access (DAO))\nSoftware design and development experience with cloud architecture to include using containers (Docker).\nExperience developing software on Unix-based operating systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux.\nExperience with Remote Debugging (JDWP) and Spring Framework - MapStruct Annotations\nExperience with a relational database, such as PostgreSQL (understand queries and commands)\nExperience working with Linux distributions and how to use commands and navigation\nExperience with Messaging like ActiveMQ and Camel Route\nWorking knowledge of web application basics like HTTP, HTML, REST, WebSocket, CSS, and JavaScript\nExperience with JIRA, Confluence, and Gerrit/ GIT.\nExperience with Rest API/API Gateway\nExperience with Apache Kafka\nExperience with Microservices, Containerization, and Kubernetes\nDemonstrated experience with cluster management tools such as AWS EKS and Rancher\nHands on experience with AWS services such as RDS, ElastiCashe or similar\nDesired Qualifications:\n\nProficient in at least one scripting language such as Python\nFamiliar with web server configuration on NGINX, Apache, or similar\nExperience using AWS as a developer\nExperience in using build/deploy tools such as Jenkins and Ansible\nExperience collaborating with external developers and integrating their components into a larger framework.\nExperience working in an Agile environment\nBackground in physics, mathematics, or aerospace.\nExperience with NiFi , developing flows and process groups\nActive CompTIA Security+ CE certification or working toward certification\nBenefits:\n\nPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.\n\nTarget Salary Range\n\n$146,000 - $234,000.
