Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance of farm tractors and farm equipment. Always improving. Always serving. Always winning together. Exceeding expectations every day.Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on tractors and equipmentThoroughly cleans tractor and equipment parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessaryOils and lubricates moving parts on tractors and equipment to ensure effective performanceRecords and reports damaged, worn, or broken partsOrders and installs replacement parts for tractors and equipmentIdentify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of tractors and equipmentRepairs broken tractors and equipment quickly and efficientlyPrepare reports documenting work performedCleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and suppliesCoordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on tractors and equipmentMakes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Farm Operations Manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredFill in throughout the farm positions that may need extra support during the peak seasonsTrouble shoot and repair irrigation pivotsPerforms other duties as necessary or assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalentValid Driver's LicenseSome vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, requiredExtensive mechanical and electrical experience, preferably farm and irrigation equipmentDiesel Engine experienceREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skillsWorks well independentlyGood communication skillsOrganized with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced and stressful environmentAbility to work in a team environmentManage priorities and workload and willingness to work in different departments as Farm demands changePHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:Prolonged periods standing and walkingAble to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machineryMust be able to visually inspect machinesMust be able to lift and carry up to 100 poundsMust wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areasExposure to airborne particles or fumesAbility to withstand cold and warm working conditionsMust be able to navigate various terrains while at farming locations and all departments of the organization's physical premises
