Assistant, Aquatics (Regular Part-Time, Key West Campus)

JOB The part-time Assistant, Aquatics supports the Athletics Director with planning, organizing, and instructing swimming lessons, and any other class held at the pool facility located on the Key West Campus. This position reports to the Athletics Director and typically maintains a 10-25 hour work week (not to exceed 25 hours per week) and schedules may vary according to need. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1. Responsible for the safety of individuals enrolled in classes held at the College pool.2. Ensure that under no condition the pool is left unattended while people are swimming.3. Give aid to those in distress and administer First Aid and CPR according to industry standards.4. Plans, organizes, and teaches swimming lessons.5. Maintains order in the aquatic facility and ensures proper use of equipment in compliance with safety standards.6. Opens and closes the aquatic facility, as needed.7. Completes administrative work for classes held at the pool including scheduling and office duties, as assigned.8. Completes maintenance tasks as assigned by the Athletics Director.9. Participates in staff meetings and training sessions.10. Assists in supporting events at the aquatic facility or off-site for College-sanctioned events.
