Together, we advance your career.\nResponsibilities:\nTHE ROLE:\n\nTechnical program manager role is responsible for leading multi-discipline engineering team for key engineering initiatives from proof of concept to execution for next generation AMD data center system solutions.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of products from Concept through Customer Ship, working with large, matrixed teams to plan and execute system level products. This role requires a blend of strong leadership and technical acumen to effectively navigate the complexities of data center driven projects. You will understand the technical challenges in the interaction of silicon, software and board elements on next generation computing system solutions. You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization across multiple sites, with multifaceted product requirements\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPartner with electrical, FW, thermal and mechanical engineering teams, enabling the definition, design and verification of product hardware\nManage and lead electrical, thermal and mechanical pathfinding with architects, design and verification of all system design POCs\nWork with key electro-mechanical vendors, ensuring technical deliverables are met. Partner with supply chain managers for vendor selection\nCoordinate with internal cross functional design and operations teams including product design, manufacturing engineering, firmware and software to develop cohesive development plans\nLead design issues & resolutions impacting system design program deliverables\nDevelops and shares best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nHas driven product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem.\nStrong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, etc.\nDemonstrated success in leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs on time and within budget.\nExperience with hardware development, from foundry & OSAT to platform level architecture, design and execution in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to grasp new technical concepts quickly and to lead and manage technical teams\nProblem solving capability with confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to executive leadership\nAbility to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations\nSkilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects\nAbility to understand and extract action plans from complex technical discussions and translate into crisp messaging tailored for varied targeted audiences\nAbility to nimbly address business and technical changes throughout the program lifecycle both from an internal and customer perspective\nExcellent written and verbal communication and executive level presentation skills\nAnalytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented\nSeasoned in leveraging MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams or Confluence for clear communications and coordination of work.\nFamiliarity with JAMA, JIRA and similar Systems Engineering requirements management and defect tracking tools.\nExperience with Agile software and project development methodologies preferred\nProactive with demonstrated creative, situational and critical thinking problem solving.\nAbility to network quickly and independently to align resources towards a common goal.\nAbility to support limited domestic travel\nPrevious experience in Semiconductor Industry - specifically New Product Development or Introduction\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)\nMasters in Business Administration or PMI PMP® Certification is a plus.\n\nLOCATION: Austin, Texas\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-TL1\nQualifications:\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
