We are currently looking for candidates with experience specializing in the following area:\nE&M for IP/OP/ER services.\n\nResponsibilities:\nReview and accurately code cases to maximize reimbursement in a timely manner.\nReview and accurately code E&M and office procedures.\nAble to work independently and research coding scenarios.\nCoder is responsible for meeting our daily production goal and our quality goal of averaging 95% accuracy rate on a consistent basis.\nAttend conference calls as necessary to provide information and/or feedback.\nCommunicate with leadership on coding or documentation issues/trends.\nStay current on all coding guidelines (to include orthopedic-specific guidelines) maintain credentials as necessary.\nParticipate in coding department and education meetings.\nFlexible to expand coding skill set into other specialties altogether.\nMaintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.\nOther duties as assigned by leadership.\n\nEducation/Experience Requirements:\nHigh School diploma required. Associates or BS degree preferred.\nSuccessful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC certified program with the achievement of the correlating professional credential (CCS, CPC, etc.);\nactive and in good standing. A CPC certification is preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years physician coding experience (recent hands-on production) in Expertise in E&M coding for in-patient, out- patient and emergency room.\nMust have proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology,\nCPT, ICD-10 coding, modifiers, disease processes, surgical techniques, and Medicare and Medicaid billing policies for professional services.\nAdditional skills required:\nProficiency with Microsoft Word,\nExcel,\nPowerPoint,\nWindows,\nelectronic healthcare record information\nbilling systems\n\nBenefits\nAlteva RCM offers our employees a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, employee assistance plan, paid family leave, short-term disability and life insurance.
