AWS Engineer
Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer (Contract)Duration: 6–9 month contract (likely extension based on program needs)Location: Remote (must support Arizona business hours)Pay: $53-$58 /hrWe are seeking a mid-level AWS Cloud Engineer to assist with day-to-day infrastructure engineering activities within an enterprise AWS environment. This role will work under the direction of a principal-level cloud architect responsible for overall platform design and strategy. The engineer will focus on implementation, configuration, operational support, and environment enhancements across core AWS services. The ideal candidate is comfortable working inside an established architecture and contributing immediately within a structured delivery environment. This is a hands-on engineering position supporting active cloud platform execution.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day AWS infrastructure engineering activities across production and non-production environmentsImplement infrastructure changes aligned with architectural direction and security requirementsConfigure and maintain services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and related AWS componentsAssist with environment monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational issue resolutionSupport identity and access configuration following enterprise governance standardsCollaborate with cloud architects, platform engineers, and program stakeholdersMaintain documentation aligned with structured change management expectationsAssist with performance tuning, reliability improvements, and environment stabilizationSupport secure connectivity across hybrid or enterprise network boundaries when applicableRequired Qualifications3+ years of hands-on AWS engineering experience supporting production environmentsStrong working experience with EC2, IAM, VPC networking, and S3Experience implementing infrastructure changes within architect-defined environmentsExperience supporting operational cloud troubleshooting and monitoringComfort working within structured enterprise delivery environmentsAbility to collaborate with distributed engineering teamsExperience supporting enterprise-scale AWS environments preferredExperience supporting hybrid cloud or legacy-to-cloud modernization initiativesExperience working within structured change-controlled environmentsAWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate or similar)
