As the Packaging, Visual Inspection, and Assembly Machine Operator at Sherex a PennEngineering Company, you'll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.\nThe Packaging, Visual Inspection, and Assembly Machine Operator position in a highly engineered, precision manufacturing environment. Responsible for the setup, operation and tending to more than one type of machine. Verbal and written communication skills are essential such as emails, handwritten notes, voice mail, procedures. Communicates to operators on all shifts.\nProvide training and support to operators working within the area.\nHandle software upgrades and modifications to machines as well as making software adjustments and adding parts to the machines.\nHandle majority of the preventive maintenance to vision inspection machines, assembly machines and bagging equipment.\nMaintain spare part inventory.\nRead and understand product prints and catalog information. Utilize micrometer, caliper and optical comparator to verify product and product inspection.\nUtilizes computer program to view product print.\nWorks safely in all aspects of operations and in all areas of responsibility including wearing proper PPE.\nSafely maintain the “Packaging Area” to ensure product going out to customers or suppliers in correct packaging and work order.\nSafely operate wax/oil application equipment to meet process procedures and requirement.\nPull product from stocking shelf and prepare to ship.\nPerform inspection and test for assembly and wax/oil application.\nWorks with minimal supervision to independently perform the job.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n#LI-BS1\nRequirements:\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nMust be able to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to be sure the machine is working properly.\nKnowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications.\nPossess the ability to read and interpret measuring equipment such as gauges, blueprints, micrometers, calipers, depth, and dimensional micrometers.\nMust be self-directed and take initiative to learn new skills, make improvements or take corrective action.\nMechanically inclined and possess basic mechanical aptitude and skills.\nRequires basic understanding of how machines operate.\nRequires understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.\nRequires the ability to work as an individual contributor as well as participate on terms as a constructive and productive team member.\nRequires the understanding and compliance of environmental, health and safety regulations of the operation and organization.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
