Senior Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil (Utilities/Earthwork/Roadway) Location: New York City (multi-site across the five boroughs) Employer: Triumph Construction Corp. About the Role We’re seeking a sharp, high-integrity Senior PM with a strong work ethic to lead complex excavation, underground utilities, erosion/stormwater, concrete, and roadway restoration projects in NYC. You will own schedule, cost, risk, quality, stakeholders, and closeout across multiple active sites. USACE experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities: Project leadership: Drive preconstruction → closeout (work plans, buyout, RFIs/submittals, schedule, cost, risk, change management). Heavy civil execution: Oversee trenching/shoring, water/sewer/storm mains, services/tie-ins, dewatering, E&S (SWPPP), concrete and paving/restoration. Safety & quality: Enforce safety (with Safety Manager). Oversee QA/QC, third-party testing (proctor/density, cylinders, asphalt cores), and punchlists. Schedule & cost control: Build/manage CPM schedules (P6/MS Project). Track quantities/productivity, unit-price items, EWOs/COs, and margin. Stakeholder management: Lead progress meetings; coordinate with NYC agencies (DDC/DOT/DEP/MTA), utilities, designers, inspectors, and subs. Permits/traffic: Own OCMC/MPT, Street Opening Permits, utility shutdowns/tie-ins, inspections. Team management: Mentor PMs/APMs/PEs and Foremen; set production targets; develop next-gen leaders. Reporting & documentation: Daily/weekly reporting, pay apps, cost reports, as-builts, and closeout packages. Required Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering (required). 10+ years managing heavy civil projects in dense urban environments, including underground utilities, excavation, erosion/stormwater, concrete and roadway restoration. Proven delivery for NYC public owners (DDC/DOT/DEP/MTA or comparable). HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid (required). Sage 300 (Timberline) (perferred). Working knowledge of MUTCD/MPT, OCMC/Street Opening, trench safety/shoring, dewatering, compaction, and materials testing workflows. OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) and current First Aid/CPR/AED (required). Valid driver’s license; ability to support night/weekend operations as needed. Preferred / Nice to Have: USACE project experience (preferred, not required). Procore (nice to have). Asite/SharePoint; familiarity with ACI Grade I or NICET testing environments; Confined Space/Flagger. Work Conditions: NYC field/office hybrid with frequent site walks and multi-site oversight.
