Receives and provides information to all staff, vendors, outside accountants, and clients. Maintains client confidentiality of all financial and project work and the confidentiality of employee information. Must be able to work independently with instructions as to the general results expected and meet deadlines on projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, WIP, fixed assets)\nOwn month-end close, internal financial reporting including account reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance\nOversee project-based revenue recognition and ensure alignment with ASC 606\nOversee annual FAR overhead rate audit and rate submission with state DOTs\nOversee annual financial audit\nAssist in the creation of the annual budget and rolling forecast, including the 13-week cash flow forecast\nPlay a key role in acquisition integration and financial system alignment\nSupport cash flow management and performance tracking\nImprove internal controls and drive automation initiatives\nManage and develop a small, skilled accounting team\nWork cross-functionally on projects and initiatives. Complete ad-hoc assignments as needed\nOther duties and responsibilities as directed\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA & MBA preferred)\n10-15 years of accounting experience, with at least 7-10 years as a Controller\nAbility to meet tight deadlines\nAEC industry background strongly preferred\nDeltek software experience required (Vision, Vantagepoint, or similar)\nWorkday Adaptive Planning OfficeConnect experience preferred\nStrong knowledge of project accounting, WIP, and ASC 606 & 842\nOverhead Rate Audit & FAR Part 31 experience\nM&A integration and high-growth environment experience\nExcellent leadership and communication skills\n\nBenefits\n\nThe base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting.
