The right candidate will be comfortable providing deep technical support and interacting with customers daily. You should have deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL is a strong plus!) and be able to quickly gain a detailed understanding of TimescaleDB. You should have a “can do it” attitude, where helping the user comes first.\n\nLocation: This position is open only to candidates currently based within the EMEA region.\n\nCandidates based outside of EMEA are not eligible for this position.\n\nThis is a permanent weekday role with 5-day, 8-hour, Monday–Friday shifts during local hours.\n\nOn-call rotation approximately every 5 weeks.\n\nBe familiar with TimescaleDB! Sign up for the free trial and test it out before you apply. https://console.cloud.timescale.com/signup\n\nCheck out a tutorial here: https://docs.tigerdata.com/tutorials/latest/real-time-analytics-transport/\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nWork with our customers across a wide range of topics, from basic administration of TimescaleDB to deep consultative conversations around design, optimization, and implementation\n\nManage support cases from beginning to end.\n\nDevelop and maintain close relationships with our customers to help them be successful.\n\nBe curious, always willing to learn, and always looking for ways to improve our products, processes, and culture.\n\nWhat You Need:\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.\n\nRelational DB experience at scale: administration, data modeling, query optimization\n\nExperience with relational databases (PostgreSQL a strong plus!)\n\nExperience as a technical support professional with external customers.\n\nStrong aptitude to understand and learn new software products.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to express patience and empathy when troubleshooting complex technical concepts to a varied audience.\n\nOther Things that Will Help:\n\nBe familiar with TimescaleDB!
