The team has recently become smaller and more tooling-driven, and is shifting toward spec-driven, AI-assisted development. This is not a traditional developer role where work arrives as clearly defined tickets. It is an open, flexible position on a small team where engineers pick up initiatives, figure out the approach, and drive them through to implementation.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\n* Take on and lead small implementation initiatives end to end: research, proposal, development, and delivery\n* Build user-facing interfaces and automation that let users trigger tasks with a single action, including platform engineering work that connects Fabric to GitHub and runs automation using admin access\n* Configure and administer the Microsoft Fabric platform, working across the Fabric, Power BI, and Azure portals\n* Develop in Fabric using Python notebooks rather than containerized code\n* Contribute to the team's backlog around knowledge transfer and certifications, and teach what you learn back to the team\n* Use AI coding tools as a normal part of how you work, and help the team advance its AI-assisted development practices\n* Engage directly with stakeholders to shape solutions and create measurable business value\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\n* Hands-on Microsoft platform experience: someone who has lived in the Azure, Fabric, and Power BI portals and can configure them. Broad Microsoft application exposure counts; the portals all look and feel similar, and Databricks portal familiarity is a plus\n* Implementation-style experience: you have used these tools through a full SDLC and can figure out how to take a solution from working to advanced\n* Python, with .NET/C# a plus\n* Demonstrated use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT or similar) and genuine interest in using them\n* A track record of movement: multiple roles, new technologies picked up on your own, and a resume that shows what you designed, proposed, improved, or owned\n* Comfortable in a small team without a formal process, and able to work closely with EST\n\nWhat This Is Not\n\n* A pure data engineering or analytics role. Fabric data visualization and analyst backgrounds are not the target\n* A role for someone who has done the same development work for many years and wants clearly defined tasks handed to them\n\nFirst 90 Days\n\nYou will join a Kanban-style team, pick up one or more small initiatives, and run them from R&D through implementation. Early candidates include a user-facing automation interface and GitHub-connected platform automation. You will be expected to learn quickly, share what you learn, and start shaping how the team builds.\n\n*WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU*\n\n* 401(k) matching plan\n* Medical, dental, and vision plans\n* Health Savings Account and Dependent Care FSA\n* Supplemental coverage options\n* Paid time off, sick time, and 6 paid company holidays\n* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with virtual counseling, financial and legal services, life coaching, and more\n* Relationship-driven process to find your best fit\n* Regular meetings to ensure quality in your engagement\n* Opportunities for professional growth and advancement\n\n*ABOUT US*\n\nAt Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
