Job Title: Tool MakerShift: 1st (M -F)Location: Minneapolis, MNSummary : Looking for a tool maker with final fit and finish experience specializes in the high-precision, hands-on assembly and refinement of tools, dies, molds, and gauges. Capable of working with manual tools to achieve micron-level perfection, ability to work directly from 2D/3D blueprints without needing step-by-step instructions.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Drill press operations of drilling, tapping and chamferingPlate de-burring and straightening (Up to 24"" x 24"" plates)Learning machine shop operationsOperate manual machining centers (Bridgeport, Surface Grinder, DoAll Tool Grinder, etc.)Operate machine shop hand equipment (Drills, Surface and Hand Grinders, Cut Off Saw, etc.)Operate CNC Lathe / MillOperate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)Use various measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Shadowgraph, etc.)Perform and document in-process inspectionAssemble moldsMold maintenance and repairRead and understand Cad DrawingsAbility to work with very tight tolerancesLift and carry 5-25 pounds on a regular basisWork while standing for extended periods of timeRegular and consistent attendanceAdditional Duties & Responsibilities:• Keep work area orderly• Other duties as assigned by supervisorPrerequisite Qualifications:Two (2) years Technical College or Equivalent ExperienceMachine shop skills or experience a plusComputer literate in Master Cam, Excel and WordWilling to learn new skills and attend schooling if requiredWork as a team member and follow established procedures in a new, well equipped, fast paced tool roomAbility to manage time effectively and meet productivity expectations and deadlinesSelf-MotivatorTeam Player
