divh2Diesel Technician Apprentice I/h2pAs a valued member of our team, the Diesel Technician Apprentice I is required to perform routine and BIT safety inspections, oil changes, preventive maintenance services, possess minimum number of tools and capable of low skill level repairs. Pay Range $18.00-$26.00 Benefits Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Medical, Dental, Vision 401k Retirement $100 credit for boots after 90 days Uniforms provided Tool allowance when applicable Monthly credit for cellphone use/ph3Essential Functions:/h3ulliBasis tools needed to effectively do inspections and mechanical repairs to equipment and routine preventive services./liliComplete all maintenance duties as assigned, and repair all equipment on property including, but not limited to, diesel, plant or yard equipment./liliEfficient communication and computer skills for proper file documentation on each job performed./liliEnsure vehicles meet CHP/BIT/PM inspection requirements./liliMaintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance./liliMaintain appropriate record keeping, Bit inspections, DVIRs, work done description and work orders./liliTrack and schedule with operations or manager on vehicles status and updates./liliWill install, select or identify proper tire replacements legal limit knowledge./liliWill inspect and identify vehicle conditions on different types of equipment such as tractors, trailers or mixers./liliPerform routine and preventive maintenance to keep vehicles and equipment in compliance with DOT and company standards./li/ulh3Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/h3pThis is a full-time position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours to be determined. Not eligible for remote work.
