This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nTo coordinate activities supporting the health, safety, environmental, and provide technical support in those areas.\nTo help ensure that the plant meets corporate, legislative and customer requirements, and coordinate implementation of recommendations to improve health, safety, and environmental management.\nResponsible for implementation, maintenance and improvement of the health, safety and environmental programs.\nIdentifies, recommends, and helps coordinate implementation of improvements to environmental, health and safety processes.\nMaintains, and updates as necessary, ISO and EHS standards, procedures and form documentation.\nCoordinates facility annual continuous improvement plans under EHS and ISO14001.\nCoordinates communication of health, safety and environmental incident bulletins.\nPeriodically audits health and safety practices and programs.\nParticipates in health and safety hazard identification and control activities.\nFollows up on the status of Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental requested actions.\nParticipates as a resource to support the facility Joint Health & Safety Committees.\nAssists with health and safety training development and delivery.\nAssists with health and safety related incident and accident investigations\nManage Worker s Compensation\nReviews health and safety procedures for improvement and implementation\nAssists in review of health and safety legal requirements.\nCoordinates tracking and trending of health and safety incidents and performance.\nAssists with coordination and documentation activities of the environmental management system.\nContributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n\nBachelor of Science Degree in Health & Safety or related field.\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety\nRules, regulations and applicable legislation governing health & safety regulations,\nKnowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, ISO14001\nUses positive interpersonal skills to present, negotiate and build/maintain relationships.\nCollects, analyzes, and synthesizes information from a variety of sources.\nKnowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, ISO14001, and the Company's Health and Safety Program\nMulti-tasking and project management\nEffective use of problem solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to deal with conflict.\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAbility to deliver training sessions to employees.\nComputer skills, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook\n\nTO APPLY:\nIf you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to: GHubbard@Venteon.com\nWe treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
