This person will bridge the gap between development, security, and engineering operations, by embedding security into the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) via automation of the CI/CD pipeline.\n\nJob Duties\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain robust automated CI/CD pipelines for embedded firmware and application software - building, testing, and deployment.\n\nCollaborate software developers and QA to ensure that firmware updates and application features are deployed securely and efficiently.\n\nDesign and implement automated security controls within CI/CD pipelines to ensure \"secure-by-default\" patterns for AOI’s software.\n\nConduct regular SAST, DAST, and SCA (Software Composition Analysis) vulnerability scans to identify and remediate risks.\n\nPerform application risk profiling and threat modeling for new features and network architecture changes.\n\nLead incident response efforts, including root-cause analysis and implementation of preventative improvements.\n\nEnsure systems meet industry standards (EX: NIST) and customer requirements.\n\nMentorship and train development teams on secure coding practices and foster a \"shift-left\" security culture.\n\nRequired Technical Skills\n\nProficiency in C/C++ and understanding of embedded Linux, bootloaders, and RTOS.\n\nStrong command of Python, Bash, or Go.\n\nHands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes for managing network-facing application software and microservices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.\n\nExpertise in security tools like Snyk, Checkmarx, Trivy, or OWASP ZAP.\n\nExperience using hardware and network debuggers, such as Wireshark, JTAG, or logic analyzers, to troubleshoot complex hardware-software interactions.\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience: 5+ years in a DevOps/DevSecOps, SRE, or Firmware Engineering role, specifically within the telecommunications or cable industry.\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering.\n\nCertifications: (Preferred) AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP).\n\nLocation\nThis position will be on-site based in Duluth, GA.\n\nWHY AOI?\nIn addition to competitive salary, AOI offers\n\nFlexible and competitive health (medical, dental, vision) plans offer the employee with the right options to meet individual and family needs\n\nEmployer matching on 401(k) deferrals\n\nGenerous PTO policy, with unused PTO payout at end of the year\n\nRelocation package available within US\n\nImmigration sponsorships (Must be currently authorized to work in the US)\n\nWe do not accept unsolicited proposals from third-party recruiters or agencies.
