Duties
Prepare ingredients and components for menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
Assist in the assembly and plating of dishes with precision and attention to presentation
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by maintaining efficient food prep and timely meal assembly
Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills, equipment, and storage areas
Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Support catering events or special functions with meal preparation and food service as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
Proven culinary experience in restaurant or fine dining settings, demonstrating strong food preparation skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
