stakeholders appropriately\nTeam Development and Technical Leadership\nDirectly manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on complex technical challenges and leadership skills\nOversee the development of new engineers through mentorship programs\nReview and approve calculations and designs\nSet technical standards and best practices for the engineering team\nLead technical problem‑solving for the most complex or novel design challenges\nBuild team capabilities through training, feedback, and stretch assignments\nConduct performance reviews and provide career development guidance\nQuality Assurance, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement\nEnsure all mechanical designs across projects meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards\nImplement quality control measures and design standards across the team\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation\nCapture and apply lessons learned to improve mechanical design and delivery processes for future projects\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization\nRepresent the mechanical engineering team in strategic planning discussions\nEnter and peer review orders for mechanical equipment ensuring accurate and timely releases to manufacturing\nAdditional Responsibilities\nOversee translation of customer drawings and specifications into fully functional mechanical conveyor systems across multiple projects\nLead optimization of mechanical system designs within budget, coordinating across disciplines and managing trade‑offs\nDirect 3D modeling efforts and clash detection management across project portfolio\nReview and approve 2D customer approval and installation layout drawings\nValidate spatial analysis of clearance envelopes, egress pathways, etc. across projects\nReview and approve system and component level calculations such as throughput, motor power, belt pull, and reactive forces to building structure\nProvide direction on engineering of custom parts needed for non‑standard design applications\nEnsure safety regulations and ergonomic standards are applied consistently across all projects\nReview and approve conveyor manifests with respect to electrical and controls engineering requirements\nEnsure all engineering decisions are properly documented through design plans, complete installation files, and engineering instructions\nManage and develop new engineers as they grow in their careers\nResolve escalated technical issues from junior engineers\nTravel to sites as needed to conduct audits, resolve complex issues, and support teams\nOversee installation and commissioning activities across multiple projects\nBasic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments, or strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non‑automated material handling equipment\nExperience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks\nExperience in team leadership\nExperience in 3D CAD\nExperience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)\nPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent\nExperience leading and influencing your team or organization\nExperience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams\nExperience leading prioritization of tasks, team scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines\nCan show excellent decision‑making capabilities under
