HR Specialist

We are looking for an HR Specialist to support key human resources operations for a healthcare organization in Washington, District of Columbia. This Long-term Contract position will play an important role in coordinating employee lifecycle activities, assisting with benefits-related administration, and helping drive an efficient hiring experience. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism.Responsibilities:• Oversee daily HR administrative activities, ensuring records, documentation, and employee data are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.• Guide new hires and departing employees through onboarding and separation processes to create a smooth and compliant experience.• Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, updates, and employee questions related to available programs.• Coordinate interview logistics, scheduling, and candidate communications to keep the recruitment process organized and efficient.• Prepare and manage job advertisements across appropriate channels while providing operational support to recruiters throughout the hiring cycle.• Maintain HR documentation in alignment with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and healthcare confidentiality requirements.• Respond to routine employee inquiries and help resolve administrative HR issues with professionalism and discretion.• Assist with HRIS updates and data entry to ensure personnel information remains current and reliable.• At least 3 years of experience in human resources administration, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.• Hands-on experience supporting onboarding, employee records management, and general HR operations.• Knowledge of benefits administration processes, including employee enrollment support and related documentation.• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and confidence working with employee data and reporting tools.• Understanding of employee relations practices and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.• Experience coordinating recruitment support tasks such as interview scheduling, posting jobs, and candidate tracking.• Ability to work in a HIPAA-regulated setting while safeguarding confidential employee and organizational information.TalentMatch®Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
