Advanced RN - Perioperative/PACU Care

Key Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to promote positive health outcomes. Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance safety, and communicate vital information to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate documentation to support quality measures and compliance standards. Effectively communicate with physicians, team members, patients, and families to improve care experiences and outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Adapt positively to healthcare dynamics and pursue continuous professional development. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Experience At least one year of healthcare experience is preferred. Certifications and Licenses Current RN license in a Compact State or the state of Missouri. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Physical and Mental Requirements This position requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, and reaching. Exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is common, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
