Senior Research Associate, Bioanalytical Operations

Kodiak Sciences offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our Bioanalytic team. You would work in our GCLP lab, advancing testing in support of multiple clinical trials. As a key team member, you will ideally have an immunology background and experience with bioanalytical assays for pharmacokinetic, anti-drug antibody, drug potency, and biomarker testing. Your contributions will be vital to the development, validation, and execution of assays using a range of platforms, as well as managing samples and recording data. Location: Palo Alto Key Duties and Responsibilities Execute bioanalytical assays according to protocol and policy with high attention to detail Manage samples including maintaining chain of custody documentation and sample inventories in LIMS Analyze data collected using various software tools such as MSD workbench, Softmax Pro, and Excel Record data collected in LIMS and/or notebooks, including performing required calculations and QC checks Monitor equipment, reagents, and lab conditions to maintain lab readiness and a compliant environment Concisely communicate findings to team members and management Participate in critical discussions of experimental design, assay troubleshooting to ensure robust, quality-controlled assays Education/Qualifications BS degree in a scientific discipline (Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or equivalent) with 4+ years of relevant experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated setting (GCLP, GLP, CLIA or the equivalent) Willingness to work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab and work with human and animal plasma samples Ability to lift 25 lbs. Hands-on experience with ELISA, MSD, cell-based assays or equivalent assays Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, MSD Workbench, Softmax, LIMS, or equivalent software preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills Must thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient A micropipette proficiency test will be required
