The successful candidate works in a team to assist customers in conducting plastic processing trials at our state-of-the-art plastics orientation laboratory.\nResponsibilities of the Position:\n· Setup and configure pilot line machinery and related equipment for specific trials\n· Operate the plastics extrusion, stretching, and winding machinery and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner\n· Work closely with customers to demonstrate and optimize processing parameters of the machinery and equipment to help them achieve their specific trial goals\n· Monitor status of machinery and equipment during runs, and react as required to minimize process disruptions\n· Take measurements/readings and record appropriate operating data during each run\n· Assist in ensuring that required facility supplies and customer materials are available when needed\n· Assist in coordinating receipt, unpacking/repacking, and shipment of customer materials\n· Perform maintenance on the machinery and equipment as directed\n· Work closely with management to assist sales personnel in establishing specifications for machinery required to meet customer needs\n· Provide feedback of information learned from customers, such as timing of possible orders, specific questions and/or concerns, competitive information, etc.\n· Perform additional duties as assigned\nQualifications:\n· Auto/Truck Mechanic experience applicable.\n· Ability to read inspection equipment\n· Must be a self-motivated team player and have a strong work ethic.\n· High School Diploma (career college or vocational/technical school preferred)\n· Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn on the job\n· General computer literacy\n· Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced team environment\n· Good communication skills\nThis position requires the physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of weight.\nParkinson Technologies is an equal opportunity employer that values a creative and open working environment.
