Senior Video Editor

As the Senior Video Editor at StudyFetch, you'll play a key role in shaping the visual storytelling of our brand across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and more. You'll take the lead in editing high-impact content focused on study hacks, student life, and our platform; crafting videos that are both informative and binge-worthy. You’ll work closely with our marketing team and creators to produce 1-2 long-form videos per week, plus short-form content for social and paid ads. If you're a visual mastermind obsessed with social media culture and have the chops to turn raw footage into cinematic gold, this role is for you. Responsibilities: Edit long-form YouTube videos weekly centered on studying, productivity, and student lifestyle Create short-form edits (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) from our existing and original content Collaborate with our in-house creators and marketing team to develop compelling short form videos Design motion graphics and add animation to enhance content when needed Look at data to optimize videos for retention, pacing, and click-through (titles, thumbnails, intros) Organize and maintain a clean post-production workflow Who You Are: 3+ years of hands-on experience editing video content, ideally for YouTube or social-first brands Deep knowledge of YouTube and short form content editing styles, pacing, and audience psychology Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut, DaVinci) and After Effects Comfortable working with footage from high-end cameras (Sony, Blackmagic, RED) Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and storytelling Fast, detail-oriented, flexible, and responsive in a fast-paced startup environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Based in Los Angeles, California Bonus Points Experience with color grading and audio mastering Background in education, edtech, or student-centered content Thumbnail creation experience (Photoshop/Figma) What we offer: Competitive Salary (75,000 - 95,000/year) 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance 75% coverage for dependents In-office team culture with creative autonomy Opportunity to join a fast growing early-stage company shaping the future of learning If you're ready to revolutionize learning, join our team!
