Works with application personnel to understand application requirements, troubleshoot application issues, and install upgrades and patches to existing system with or without vendor assistance. . Make recommendations and identify the benefits and issues with enhancements and upgrades. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupports all essential business applications.\nCompletes work requests as directed by Applications Support Manager regarding user access security administration of all devices, data network connections and coordinating work with users.\nReceives and responds to incoming requests / trouble tickets regarding problems with application security and related application equipment.\nCreates and updates all documentation relating to systems, application equipment, and user locations.\nResearch enhancements to applications, identifying benefits and concerns that could affect the company’s current processes and procedures. Makes recommendations as to the timing and implementation plan for the upgrade. Takes the lead in the implementation of an upgrade when required.\nEnsures that all application equipment is in good working order and functioning properly.\nProvides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.\nAssist in integrating and developing various processes to new and existing systems and prepare user specifications and perform tests on applications according to technical specifications.\nCollaborate with department personnel for IT related issues and present viable solutions.\nMaintain all hardware and software for processes according to security requirements and maintain logs of all issues and assist to resolve issues efficiently.\nParticipates in the installation, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of various systems and related hardware.\nPerforms the same work as team members within the department as needed.\nMeets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.\nAttends all necessary training meetings.\nAssists with other projects, as needed.\nCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.\nTrain team members on new software.\nMust participate in an on-call Schedule.\nReport and escalate to management as needed.\nWork with IT support personnel, end users and vendors to resolve system issues.\nProvides input to hardware sizing and specification of system requirements to ensure a high level of performance and reliability.\nWork in conjunction with IT Operations to ensure complete and through backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures are in place for critical business applications and systems.\nCapable of process improvement and planning\nParticipates in disaster recovery testing exercises.\nResponsible for 24x7 support of mission critical applications\nOn all network problems, must contact a Network Engineer for help.\nMaintains the highest degree of confidentiality.\nLeads by setting a positive example to all employees.\nMust be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License\nMaintain a consistent, regular attendance record.\nThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work to be performed by individuals assigned to this position.
