Designs, implements and monitors new processes and continuously improves existing processes to meet customer needs and the overall strategic business plan. Coordinates designs and projects of new and existing products.\nKey Responsibilities Learn, support, develop, and optimize all wire and cable-related equipment and processes.\nContinuously improve existing equipment by increasing efficiency, reducing scrap, and minimizing downtime.\nSupport the installation and commissioning of new equipment.\nCollaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to establish effective maintenance protocols and drive performance improvements.\nDevelop and implement processes and procedures for new equipment.\nEnter product specifications and quality control requirements into the ERP system.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot issues related to: processes (human error, procedural gaps, etc.), raw materials (supplier quality, contamination, etc.), equipment (mechanical failures, design flaws, etc.).\nOptimize productivity by improving run rates, standardizing processes, reducing scrap, and maximizing material efficiency.\nDesign and procure tooling and equipment as needed.\nCreate plant layouts and equipment/tooling drawings.\nSupport cross-functional efforts, occasionally assisting with maintenance, operations, and engineering across other locations.\nRaw Material Management Establish incoming material inspections.\nTroubleshoot material-related issues.\nCollaborate with suppliers to identify root causes and determine resolutions.\nQualify new materials.\nQuality Control Develop and maintain product specifications.\nCreate and implement testing procedures.\nConduct operator training as necessary.\nContinuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing Monitor and enhance wire & cable equipment KPIs.\nPotential involvement with regulatory bodies (NRTL) and industry standards including UL, ETL, SAE, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, CSA, NEMA, NEC, and ISO (9001:2015; 14001).\nParticipate in production review meetings to ensure efficient manufacturing methods.\nApply statistical analysis to estimate and improve future manufacturing cycle times.\nCustomer and Project Interface Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal development/validation teams.\nDevelop and manage project plans while coordinating with customers to drive progress.\nDefine product applications and performance criteria.\nPrepare and deliver technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders with precision and clarity.\nDomestic and international travel may be required.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements / Attributes Bachelor\\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Chemical or related field is a must have.\nMinimum 5 years of professional experience in wire drawing, extrusion (can be chemical or plastics), & jacketing processes. These are must-haves.\nSolid understanding and knowledge of electrical, mechanical and chemical processes and principles.\nSound problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nDetail-oriented with excellent planning and organization skills - able to prioritize.\nMotivated individual who needs little or no guidance.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nMust have strong project management skills, PMP (Project Management Professional certification preferred).\nKnowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and concepts; Black Belt certification is preferred.\nKnowledge and experience in ISO 9001:2015 and/or IATF 16949 is preferred.\nProficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.\nSkills and Certifications Wire drawing\nMetal, chemical or plastics extrusion\nJacketing process\nFour year college degree\nWire & Cable Experience\nScreening Questions Does the candidate have wire & cable experience?
