Medical Assistant, Family Medicine
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Full-time. Day shift hours. M-F; 7am - 7pm variable. You will work at the UW Health Belvidere Clinic.
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT) to:
Perform a variety of patient care duties including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, EKG’s, medication reconciliation, specimen collections. Under the authority and delegation of a physician may perform certain other tasks or duties. Alerts provider/nurse of emergent patient needs.
Prepares patients for examination, treatment and procedures.
Provide quality care in a compassionate environment where teamwork is highly valued, and exceptionalism and innovation are encouraged.
Additional components of compensation may include:
Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required
Work Experience
At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
Computer experience. Required
Licenses & Certifications
AAMA certification is required upon hire or verification of a passing score on the AAMA certification exam and subsequent AAMA certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Required
Bi-annual CPR certification. Required
Active AAMA certification must be maintained. Required
