Property Maintenance Technician
Primary Functions: To maintain the physical buildings by following the guidelines stated by HUD/LIHTC and the building code that governs the state of PA
Education: High school diploma. It is preferred to have certifications that are applicable to building maintenance, but not required
Experience: At least two years’ experience in building maintenance or construction
Requirements: Valid driver’s license
Supervisor: Reports to the Site Manager
Hazards: Possible verbal and physical aggression exhibited by residents, use of power tools, use of FDA approved chemicals
JOB DUTIES
Principal Tasks:
1. Complete work orders in a timely fashion
2. Respond to emergency calls after hours
3. Use all tools by the safety guidelines given by the manufacture
4. Understand what is an emergency, urgency and routine maintenance in order to respond appropriately to calls
5. After the use of company tools put them in the proper storage area
6. Landscaping
7. Snow removal
8. Communicate and work with outside contractors
9. Accept work assignments without hassle or difficulty
10. Respond to lock outs during business hours
11. Report to work on time, only take the approved breaks, and report to your supervisor when finished for the day
12. Other duties as assigned
