We are currently seeking aSenior Full Stack Developer to join the IT/Marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about designing, building, and operating production‑grade web applications using a containerized backend architecture. As our Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in the ownership of core backend services built with TypeScript and Node.js (Express), backed by MongoDB, and developer via Docker on AWS ECS/ECR. This is not a serverless role. You’ll be working with long-running services, real production traffic, and systems that directly power healthcare and wellness products. You will be expected to contribute to architecture decisions, code quality, and production reliability. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Lead development of full-stack features from design through production Design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Node.js (Express) and TypeScript Own and evolve custom JWT-based authentication and authorization systems Design and optimize MongoDB data models and queries for performance Build, deploy, and operate Dockerized services on AWS ECS/ECR Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Monitor production systems, debug complex issues, and drive performance improvements Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making Perform code reviews and help raise overall engineering standards Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams TECH STACK Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+) Backend: Node.js (Express), REST APIs Database: MongoDB Authentication: Custom JWT Infrastructure: Docker, AWS ECS & ECR, S3, CloudWatch CI/CD: GitHub Actions Testing: Jest Version Control: Git, Github POSITION REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 5 years of experience infull-stack or backend-focused development Proven experience operating Dockerized services at scale Strong experience deploying and managing applications on AWS ECS/ECR Solid understanding of API design, authentication, authorization, and backend security Experience owning services through their full lifecycle (build, deploy, operate, improve) Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in fast-paced production environments Must be able to work on-site in our Gardena laboratory/office PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Frontend experience with React, Vue, or similar frameworks Experience scaling or refactoring legacy production systems Exposure to healthcare, wellness, or regulated environments Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives SCHEDULE 9:00AM to 5:30PM PERKS & BENEFITS Health, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance. 401(k) retirement savings plan with up to 4% matching Paid vacation and sick time-off Paid holidays Flexible spending account Open Healthcare offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from $130,000 to $166,000 per year. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
