This includes working closely with system managers and developers to add system functionality, tables, and data; optimizing systems for availability and performance; and contributing to system upgrades. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and experience in managing complex database systems, as well as a strong background in software development.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDesign, develop, and manage the company's database systems.\nDevelop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.\nCollaborate with developers to improve applications and establish best practices for database interactions.\nAnalyze system requirements and identify potential database design and performance improvements.\nProvide guidance and support to junior developers and DBAs.\n24x7 Production Database on call support.\nMaintain documentation of designs, coding standards, and operational procedures.\nGenerates regular reports (as needed), configurations and standard operating procedures for business requirements.\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science from an accredited college or university.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n6-8 years of experience in database administration for very large and complex databases in SQL Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.\nAdministering T-SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies.\nExpertise in T-SQL Server writing stored procedures, triggers, cursor and functions.\nExperience implementing the new SQL Server 2019/2016 mechanisms like data compression, online indexing, contained databases.\nProficiency and expertise in SQL Server replication, backup/recovery, disaster recovery and planning.\nAbility to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.\nStrong knowledge and experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.\nExperience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.\nProficient in MS SSRS.\nFamiliarity with data modeling tools and database design.\nExperience with Agile methodologies.\nExperience working in Data Management projects. Ability to apply mastery knowledge in one of the relational databases (DB2, MSSQL, Teradata)\nExperience working with data manipulation, preparation, cleansing.\nExperience working with ETL Tools (Informatica/DS/SSIS) for data Integration.\nExperience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.\nExperience in Batch processes, Import, Export, Backup, Database Monitoring tools and Application support.\nWorking knowledge in Analysis Services (SSAS), and Clustering.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment\nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).\nStrong commitment to effective communication laterally to support teams and vertically to senior management.\n\nKnowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
