They have already scaled to major cities throughout the US, and partnered with Fortune 500 companies and top real estate groups with their award winning technology.Job DescriptionWhat This Role Looks Like:Own end-to-end design, implementation, maintenance and CI/CD pipeline for software services for current product offerings with associated DevOps, and manage new developments, feature rollouts within an AGILE/SCRUM environmentDevelop technical strategy and manage the complete software development lifecycle for our future productsBuild focus on Quality assurance and a continuous integration/improvement pipeline to ensure frictionless product releasesProvide technical guidance and IoT architectural recommendations for designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure applications in a cloud computing environmentProvision and maintain AWS infrastructure for Production and pre-prod environments across multiple streamsWrite Optimization algorithms that will be deployed into a cloud based microservice architecture.Collaborate cross-functionally and globally with hardware and cloud engineering teams to define specifications, features, and integrate with open and third-party APIsPerform debugging/root cause analysis of system level integration issues and back-end support issues for existing systemsBuilding leadership and team for front-end and back-end engineering, testing, App development, UI/UX and infrastructureMaintain codebase, design specs, and associated documentationHybrid with main location in New York CityQualificationsRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, product design or related discipline5-7 Years of MERN Stack development experience particularly with IOT applications is a plusMastery of React, Node.js, JS, HTML, CSS and BootstrapProficient Experience with AWS Cloud services like SQS, EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, and S3Developing in a distributed, event-driven microservices architectureProficient with designing databases and data structures with MongoDB and DynamoDBIntermediate experience with Python for managing a WebSocket python serverAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a startup environmentExperience writing automated unit testsExperience with Websockets, IOT core and AWS Cloud Services highlighted belowFamiliar with Atlassian Development tools like JIRA and ConfluenceUnderstanding of various connectivity/messaging protocols and APIs: Websockets, NFC/BLE, Wi-Fi, and RESTful JSON APIsComfortable with TLS encryption, certificate management services, OAuth 2.0 and lead cyber-security implementation efforts across platformsTrack record of delivering reliable and robust products with mastery of software requirements, architecture, and documentationMastery of code maintenance, coding standards, and version control
