Litigation Attorney

About the CompanyMy client is seeking a licensed Litigation Attorney in Texas. This role offers flexibility with remote work options, but candidates should be based in Texas and available for occasional in-person hearings in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.About the RoleThe Litigation Attorney will handle pre-litigation and litigation matters related to real estate, mortgages, foreclosure, and creditor’s rights. This position requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent oral and written advocacy. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and able to manage complex caseloads independently.ResponsibilitiesManage litigation cases from inception to resolution, including pre-litigation matters.Develop legal strategy, budgets, and risk assessments in coordination with supervising partners and clients.Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct discovery and manage all aspects of case preparation.Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.Assist with related bankruptcy proceedings as needed.Maintain accurate and timely case records and communicate effectively with clients and team members.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in Texas and compliance with all licensing requirements.5+ years of litigation experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates with interest in real estate or mortgage law may be considered.Knowledge of real estate, secured transactions, foreclosure, and creditor’s rights is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.Able to meet standard annual billing requirements.Required SkillsStrong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to ethical and professional standards.Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex cases.
