Assistant Property Manager / Operations Coordinator 📍 New York, NYA well-established NYC property management company is seeking an organized and responsive Assistant Property Manager / Operations Coordinator to support a residential and mixed-use portfolio throughout New York City.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping operations organized, following through on day-to-day building matters, coordinating with vendors and residents, and supporting senior Property Managers in a fast-paced environment.The team is looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable handling both operational and administrative responsibilities across active buildings.Key Responsibilities • Support day-to-day operations across a portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties • Coordinate with vendors, supers, residents, and building staff regarding maintenance requests and operational issues • Assist with work orders, scheduling, follow-up, and general building coordination • Help track violations, insurance documentation, compliance items, and building records • Draft and distribute tenant communications, notices, and operational updates • Support invoice processing, expense tracking, and general administrative workflow • Maintain organized records, contracts, certificates of insurance, and property documentation • Assist Property Managers with resident communications and ongoing operational follow-throughIdeal Background • 1–4 years of experience in property management, residential operations, administrative coordination, or a related real estate environment • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Professional communication style with strong responsiveness and follow-through • Comfortable working in a fast-paced NYC property management environment • Prior exposure to residential, multifamily, mixed-use, condo, or co-op properties preferred • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, BuildingLink, or similar platforms preferredWhat This Role Offers • Direct exposure to experienced NYC Property Managers and building operations • Stable, team-oriented environment with long-term growth potential • Opportunity to continue developing operational property management experience • Diverse portfolio exposure across residential and mixed-use assetsCompensation & Benefits • Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience • Overtime eligible position • Competitive benefits package • Long-term growth opportunity within an established NYC property management platform
