We’re happy to discuss flexible working hours, patterns, and locations to suit you and the business.What You'll Be DoingJob Scope: Responsible for technical leadership of a project as well as for supporting the Project Manager in managing project performance of the engineering team with respect to cost, schedule and Client satisfaction. This work will be performed under minimal supervision in Luling, LA.Primary Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited ToIdentify and complete all process engineering design/deliverables for projects when required.Work with area personnel and management to develop project justification.Lead review of outside engineering firm process engineering analysis for assigned projects.Lead assigned projects from concept definition, FEL 1/2/3, detailed design, construction through to project closure.Validate project improvements and cost savings associated with project after implementation. Mark up P&IDs as required for all assigned projects. Modification of PFDs, material and/or energy balances.Modification of other pertinent parts of the PMF (operating procedures, JTA’s, LOTO’s etc.). Development of process control definition for assigned projects.Provide process datasheets for instrumentation/equipment as requiredWork with unit personnel to develop and execute operator training for projects. Lead project MOCs/HSE/Pre-Startup-Safety Reviews working with project/unit personnel.Lead all assigned project PHA’s and reviews up to and including hazard and operability studies. Ensure that all aspects of a modification or project meet environmental regulations.Work with area engineers to assist in checkout, commissioning, and startup of new projects.Provide technical assistance troubleshooting plant issues with unit personnel as required.Ideal BackgroundEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.Registration: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.Experience: This position requires 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management.Experience leading and executing capital projects in a chemical manufacturing facility.Experience with Equipment Sizing Calculations and Design (Pumps, Valves, Piping, Instruments).Knowledge of the Hargrove project execution procedures.Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.Knowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments.A comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.Demonstrated proficiency in complex technical issues coordination and resolution.Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.Ability to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.Ability to handle stress with poise.Understanding of existing and potential customer needs and preferences.Ability to delegate authority appropriately.Ability to clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members and to structure accountability.Organizational skills, ability to set priorities.Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent presentation skills.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.Hargrove CultureWe work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
