These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Project Manager coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources. The Project Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.\r\nThis position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH location.\r\nResponsibilitiesFacilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scope\r\nMonitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path\r\nProvide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors\r\nDevelop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost\r\nIdentify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip\r\nIdentify key risks and prepare contingency plans\r\nEnsure the projects are following the NPDI, New Product Development & Introduction process\r\nAssist project team members as required\r\nIdentify and lead continuous improvement projects\r\nRequirementsBachelor of Arts in Business, Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or other technical degree; Master of Business Administration is a plus.\r\n8+ years' experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a new product development environment (experience with NPDI)\r\nProven ability to lead others to achieve common goals and to accomplish tasks\r\nDemonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, project planning\r\nExperience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call\r\nAbility to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives\r\nProcess and results oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals\r\nExperience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems is preferred\r\nProficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Microsoft Project, & Smartsheet\r\n#LI-RB1About Us The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principles & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\r\nOUR CORE PRINCIPLES: Safety.
