The Level III is responsible for developing, qualifying, and approving radiographic techniques and procedures; training and certifying personnel; interpreting standards; and ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and aerospace requirements.\n\nSalary: $120K - $140K (Depending on Experience)\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, qualify, and approve NDT radiographic procedures, techniques, and work instructions in accordance with NAS-410, ASTM, Customer specification requirements, Nadcap, AS9100 and other contractual requirements.\nServe as the subject matter expert for radiographic inspection (film and digital) methods.\nInterpret codes, standards, and customer requirements related to radiographic testing.\nApprove or disapprove radiographic inspection results and technical interpretations.\nProvide technical direction and oversight for Level I and Level II NDT personnel.\nEvaluate and validate new radiographic techniques, equipment, and software for compliance and performance.\nSupport as method Level III for internal, external audits and customer approvals activites.\nPerform contract review to ensure customer requirements can be met and are implemented into internal quality system.\nAudit and review calibration requirements and maintenance of certifications for various inspection equipment in the inspection area.\nCreate and provide training plans for trainees, Level 1 and Level 2 to ensure all qualification requirements are met to achieve certification status.\nConduct performance reviews for all certified inspectors.\nInterface with customers for any technical information and guidance.\nDevelop and update exams as required to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.\nCertify and recertify all qualified personnel in accordance with company and customer requirements.\nReview and approved external technical documents received for applicability to inspections.\nDevelop and lead corrective action reviews on audit/NCR findings.\nMaintain Level III certification and any others required certifications for this position.\nMaintain compliance with radiation safety programs and regulations (e.g., NRC, OSHA, local authorities).\nWork with Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to ensure safe operation of all radiographic equipment.\nMeet all quality, safety, and company policies and procedure requirements\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSkills / Qualifications:\nMust have Level 3 ASNT Certification and/ or currently active NAS410 Level III certifications\nEquivalent technical experience may be considered.\nMinimum 5–8 years of aerospace NDT experience, including at least 2 years at Level III.\nProven expertise in both film-based and digital radiography (CR, DDA).\nExperience with Nadcap NDT accreditation and OEM audits (e.g., Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney).\nFamiliarity with NAS 410, ASTM (1742, E1032), SAE, and AS9100 radiography standards.\nIn-depth knowledge of digital image processing, image quality indicators (IQIs), and density / sensitivity requirements.\n\nWork Environment:\nWork is typically performed around heavy equipment, radiation sources, and moving machinery, requiring strict adherence to all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
