Job Requirements High School diploma, or equivalent 1-2 years customer contact experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, presentation, multitasking, and team work skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Bilingual (English and Spanish) Job Preferences Excellent analytical skills in problem solving and finding root cause to take corrective actions Proficient knowledge of quality certification programs such as Q1 and TS-16949 1-2 years experience in manufacturing processes, operators, and procedures - preferably in automotive Travel flexibility, if necessary Job Summary Analyze quality related issues, solve problems, liaison between Tier 1, 2, and 3 to Customers and the Manufacturing facility. Essential Job Functions Issue quality inspection request for inspection/certification. Develop inspection plan, which includes frequency, sample size, and measurement techniques. Resolve field and customer claims. Receive and communicate claim issues with customer and other affected departments. Conduct containment activities. Track response timing of 3D and closure of 8D. Maintain Internal & Customer Quality Databases when applicable. Recommend, coordinate, and implement corrective and preventative actions. Review manufacturing methods to improve quality. Measure parts against drawing using caliper, optical comparator, ruler, etc. Determine the effectiveness of supplier systems, appraises the current quality. Determines quality problem areas and assist in corrective action or minimization of these problem areas. Provide decision on inspection planning, quality-related training and/or reporting. In-depth working knowledge of all aspects of quality assurance, statistical problem soling techniques and basic quality control to analyze supplier facility. Maintain balance between the customer and quality needs. Understand and deploy the goal, purpose, approach and applicability of the Quality System requirements. Develop a program that will meet quality goals set forth by upper management in a timely manner. Lead effective corrective action and preventative action to resolve quality concerns. Review and follow-up internal/external corrective action reports. Participate in ISO-14001, TS-16949, Kaizen, etc. Perform 5s functions. Perform finished goods inspections when needed. Verify effectiveness of corrective actions taken to address internal and external non-conformances. Ensure segregation and requalification on in-house inventory and returned material based on a customer complaint. Maintain and updated QA files. Other duties as assigned.
