This includes pre-flighting files, making color adjustments, staging and queuing. \nCompletes job start-up, quality sign-off, including specification and visual checks. \nOperates digital press to produce product in conformance with customer specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining press efficiency. \nRequisitions all supplies required to operate the digital press and produce quality digital labels, including inks, coatings, machine supplies, parts and tools. \n\nEquipment Maintenance: \n\nMaintains and troubleshoots the press and related equipment. \nResponsible for preventative maintenance program; contracting with local HP Service professionals as needed and completing Maintenance Request Forms for equipment needing repairs. \n\nSafety: \n\nFollows all safety guidelines for proper material handling, machine, and tooling use. \nMaintains a clean and safe work environment \nReports any safety risks to supervisor or safety team representative. \nParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.  \n\nQualifications:  \n\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required. \nExperience operating a digital press and/or minimum 2 years web and/or offset experience, required. \nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret internal and external communications to perform job duties.  Effective interpersonal skills needed. \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. \nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.   \nAbility to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.   \nProficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards are necessary.   \nExcellent mechanical aptitude required. \nComputer prepress/preflight knowledge is preferred.  Advanced computer skills needed.                                               \nAble to frequently stand and walk.  \nMust occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  \nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. \n\n \n\nThe physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
