Actively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of system architecture and design with mission objectives.\nConfiguration & Management:\nConfigure, manage, and optimize network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Apply best practices for performance, reliability, and security.\nNetwork Security:\nImplement and manage security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols to safeguard critical systems and data.\nTroubleshooting & Optimization:\nDiagnose complex network/system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and resolve connectivity or performance issues promptly. Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency.\nCollaboration & Communication:\nPartner with IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to align network and system solutions with organizational requirements. Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nInnovation & Best Practices:\nStay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve network performance and security.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or\nMaster’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or\nEquivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\nStrong background in LAN/WAN design, routing, and switching technologies.\nHands-on experience configuring and managing network security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).\nProficiency in network troubleshooting and performance optimization.\nExperience with Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.\nFamiliarity with systems engineering concepts and best practices.\nActive Secret clearance required at time of hire.
