This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing cases independently, and is looking for meaningful hands-on litigation experience in a collaborative small-firm setting.About the RoleThis position focuses primarily on commercial litigation, construction litigation, and real estate-related disputes, with a strong emphasis on defense work for home builder clients.The ideal candidate is confident handling litigation matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision. This is not a role requiring business development or an existing book of business—we are looking for a strong practitioner who can step in, take ownership of files, and contribute immediately.Key Responsibilities Independently manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial preparation and resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal correspondenceConduct legal research and prepare strategic case analysesManage depositions, hearings, mediations, and client communicationsCoordinate with paralegals and support staff throughout the lifecycle of each matterDevelop and execute litigation strategy with partner oversight as neededRepresent clients in commercial, construction, and real estate disputesIdeal Candidate Profile 3–5 years of litigation experience requiredExperience in commercial litigation, construction litigation, and/or real estate litigation strongly preferredAbility to independently manage files with confidence and sound judgmentStrong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsComfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving legal environmentSelf-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detailLicensed and in good standing with the applicable state barWhat This Role Is / Is NotThis role IS for someone who: Wants substantive litigation experience and autonomyEnjoys handling cases from start to finishThrives in a busy, highly engaged legal environmentPrefers a close-knit team over a large, compartmentalized firm structureThis role is NOT ideal for someone who: Comes from a purely transactional practice (estate planning, closings, document-heavy advisory work)Prefers highly structured environments with narrowly defined responsibilitiesRequires significant day-to-day handholding or oversightPowered by JazzHR
