This role partners closely with business, and IT organizations to drive modernization across RMIC systems, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture strategies. The architect shall define future‑state cloud architectures, and lead the transformation toward cloud‑native, event‑driven solutions. This role plays a critical part in shaping cross‑ART and cross‑platform initiatives, guiding teams through complex system interdependencies in a scaled agile environment.\nUnder limited guidance, work at the business unit level developing the end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead end‑to‑end cloud architecture for RMIC systems, including pricing, rating, invoicing, billing integrity, and settlement workflows.\nDevelop cloud modernization roadmaps aligned with business priorities and enterprise architecture strategy.\nDefine cloud patterns, standards, and reference architectures that support high‑volume financial and transactional workloads.\nDrive adoption of cloud‑native engineering practices.\nEvaluate current-state RMIC platforms, identify modernization opportunities, and design future-state architectures.\nPartner with business stakeholders, ARTs, and development teams to ensure architectural alignment across highly interdependent systems.\nDefine and enforce cloud governance, including security controls, observability, monitoring, and operational best practices.\nMentor solution architects and engineering teams on cloud architecture patterns and platform engineering practices.\nCommunicate complex architectural concepts and recommendations to technical and non‑technical executive audiences.\nExposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture.\nWorks closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns.\nDevelops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives.\nMentor those in less senior positions.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications\nExperience in designing cloud architectures (i.e. in Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP))\nDesign end-to-end cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise strategy\nEvaluate cloud applications, hardware, software and recommend best-fit solutions\nApply modern architectural patterns across cloud and hybrid solutions\nStrong understanding of cloud security, data privacy, encryption, and compliance\nExperience architecting systems with high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery\nStrong communication, presentation, and cross‑functional leadership skills\nGeneral knowledge of hardware, software, and network.\nHuman relations.\nCommunication.\nPreferred Qualifications\nLead major cloud migration and modernization initiatives\nExperience designing resilient, scalable, cloud-modern architectures\nFamiliarity with enterprise tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect\nExperience working in SAFe or large‑scale agile environments\nAdditional Desired Skills\nAbility to influence architectural direction across matrixed business and IT organizations\nStrong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills\nExperience presenting to senior leaders and executive stakeholders\nComfort navigating high‑complexity environments with multiple dependencies\nMinimum Education\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.\nMinimum Experience\nFive (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.\nWork locations\nThe desired locations for this position would be Memphis TN, Pittsburgh PA, Plano TX, or Orlando FL, however, this position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories.
