This role will be supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and will have interface with outside commercial customers. This position will rotate on a periodic basis (12 – 18 months) thru multiple manufacturing and commercial sites.\nResponsibilities Applying engineering techniques to analyze and assist in the improvement of manufacturing process and products in coordination and in support of HWI’s Lean and HBS (HarbisonWalker Business System) efforts; improve efficiency, minimize inconsistencies, avoid waste and reduce downtime to drive improvements in OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)\nLeading, facilitating, executing, and managing projects (process and capital) to reduce costs and improve the customer experience by implementing engineering best practices incorporating Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies; conducting periodic reviews to ensure that the projects achieve the desired results stated in the justification\nWorking with Operations to develop best practices and standard work to solve manufacturing problems, initiate productivity improvements, drive maintenance excellence initiatives, and identify future opportunities for the overall continual improvement of the plant; review plants KPI monitoring systems and determine ways to improve their ability to meet or exceed company initiatives/goals\nPreparing, with management guidance, accurate expenditure proposals and/or cost justification analysis; presenting findings to appropriate plant and corporate management\nAssembling reports to document process status and changes\nTraining, providing instructions, systems, and consultation to site production, maintenance, and engineering personnel to support technical development and assure integration of programs for efficient operation to drive continuous improvement\nRequires B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)\nRequires motivation and ingenuity\nRequires excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including presentation planning and delivery skills; ability to communicate across all levels of the organization\nRequires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel and PowerPoint expertise and AutoCAD engineering software\nRequires knowledge of ISO 9001 and similar achievement standards\nRequires strong strategic thinking and business problem solving skills; the ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence\nRequires coaching skills with front line employees and supervisors/managers; the ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence\nRequires relationship building and change management skills\nRequires ability to make a significant change in a variety of environments, with multiple learning experiences\nRequires experience with data analysis, operations management and business intelligence tools\nRequires strong collaboration, interpersonal, communications and leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of making improvements that benefit the organizational results and customer\nQualifications Requirements include a B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)\nRequires motivation and ingenuity;
