Do you have experience containerizing legacy .NET applications, updating them to .NET 10, and deploying to Azure Container Apps?\r\nWhat You Will Be Doing\r\nYou will be part of the application modernization team, working directly under technical leads to accelerate the migration of large internal .NET applications. Your focus will be on executing assigned tickets by containerizing applications, updating them to the latest .NET framework, and deploying them to Azure Container Apps. You will collaborate with the team to follow established sprint cycles, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to client standards. This is a 6-month contract role where your technical expertise will directly impact the pace and quality of the modernization efforts.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nTake application modernization tickets from the backlog and execute tasks such as containerization, framework upgrades, and deployment.\r\nCollaborate closely with technical leads and team members to ensure timely delivery of features.\r\nBuild and maintain Docker images with multi-stage builds for legacy applications.\r\nDevelop, test, and validate .NET and REST API components within the Azure environment.\r\nParticipate in pull request reviews, adhering to engineering standards and best practices.\r\nDocument code changes and support troubleshooting of legacy code when necessary.\r\nAssist in assessing remaining application backlog and help prioritize tasks based on usage, complexity, and modernization effort.\r\nSupport integration with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID for application registration and authentication.\r\nRequired Skills & Experience\r\n3-5+ years of experience developing with .NET and C#.\r\nProven expertise in upgrading applications to .NET 10 and containerizing with Docker.\r\nHands-on experience deploying applications to Azure Container Apps (ACA).\r\nStrong working knowledge of Azure DevOps for pipeline creation and ticket management.\r\nExperience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID integration.\r\nProficiency using unit and integration testing frameworks within the .NET environment.\r\nSolid understanding of REST API development.\r\nFamiliarity with Git workflows, branching strategies, and PR procedures.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nComfortable working within client tooling and processes.\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.\r\nDesired Skills & Experience\r\nAwareness of Azure AI Foundry and related tools.\r\nExperience with multi-service microservices architecture.\r\nPrevious consulting or client-facing project experience.\r\nAdditional certifications related to Azure or containerization.\r\nPay\r\n$56.00 – $80.00 /hr\r\nKeywords\r\n.NET 10, C#, Docker, Azure Container Apps, Azure DevOps, REST API, Application Modernization, Azure Active Directory, CI/CD, Containerization\r\nWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
