Responsibilities What you get to do every day:Support users executing computational workloads on secure HPC clusters in classified and unclassified environmentsAssist with scheduler job scripts and application execution on systems such as Slurm or PBS, including CPU, GPU, and distributed workloadsTroubleshoot slow, hanging, or failing HPC jobs, including MPI-based, GPU, and large-scale parallel applicationsGuide users on compiling and running scientific, modeling, or data processing applications in Linux HPC environmentsPromote HPC best practices for job scheduling, resource allocation, and workload performanceMonitor workload patterns and recommend improvements to cluster throughput and efficiencyDevelop scripts and tools using Bash or Python to automate operational tasksMaintain documentation and knowledge base articles on system capabilities, job execution procedures, and troubleshootingAnalyze workload performance to identify inefficiencies or configuration issuesCoordinate with HPC systems engineers on infrastructure or cluster issues impacting user workloadsProvide responsive on-site support for mission-critical HPC workloadsMaintain source-controlled scripts and tools using Git or similar version control systemsAssist users with environment modules and runtime configurations required for HPC applications Qualifications Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) Certification Required: Ability to obtain DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II certification Education/Experience:BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or experience in lieu of degree)5+ years of Linux experience including command line system usage, scripting, and troubleshooting applications in multi-user server environments.
