About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Process Piping Designer to join a water and wastewater infrastructure team. The ideal candidate brings advanced proficiency in 3D BIM/CAD design, hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, and a strong working knowledge of process piping standards. You will work alongside engineers and senior design staff to develop high-quality piping system designs and deliverables with minimal direction, while supporting coordination across all disciplines at the project level.Hybrid work schedule at closest officeResponsibilitiesDevelop piping system layouts including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in-line components from sketches, catalog cut sheets, and P&IDs provided by engineers and senior design staff, in accordance with BIM requirementsGenerate fabrication isometric drawings from 3D design modelsCoordinate modeling and drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project levelPerform clash detection reporting using Autodesk NavisworksGenerate model interrogation data reports including quantities, parts lists, and related outputsProvide quality checking of drafted deliverables and ensure conformance with modeling and drawing production standards, including project-specific CAD/BIM requirementsProduce engineering documents and related materials with minimal direction and supervisionProvide basic CAD/BIM technical guidance and mentorship to junior-level staffPerform other related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsExtensive knowledge of 3D design concepts and BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves, in-line components, and equipmentExperience in Autodesk RevitWorking knowledge of industry pipe standards including AWWA and ANSI B16Highly motivated self-starter; results-driven and team-oriented with strong follow-up skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsExperience in the detail design of water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructureFamiliarity with Smart3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, MicroStation, or PDMS in addition to RevitAssociate degree or higher in a related technical field
