Spectrum Expression invites individuals who are passionate about diversity and equity to help amplify its impact in communities.Role Description The Student Program Coordinator is a volunteer remote role responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of student-focused programs and events. Day-to-day tasks include organizing virtual workshops and activities, managing communication with students and families, and assisting with outreach to schools, youth organizations, and community partners. The coordinator will help develop program schedules, track student engagement, and ensure that activities align with Spectrum Expression’s mission of inclusion and neurodiversity awareness. This role also involves collaborating with team members on educational content, collecting feedback from participants, and maintaining clear documentation of program details. The position is flexible but requires consistent availability and reliable follow-through on assigned responsibilities.QualificationsStrong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, and partners.Experience or interest in Student Programs and Student Engagement, particularly in youth-focused or community-based initiatives.Background or coursework in Education or related fields, with an understanding of inclusive and accessible learning environments.Event Planning skills to support the coordination of workshops, virtual events, and student activities.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and balance multiple tasks.Demonstrated interest in neurodiversity, autism awareness, and inclusive practices in arts and education.Comfort using digital collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing platforms, shared documents, project management tools).Prior experience volunteering, mentoring, or working with youth is beneficial but not required.Time Commitment: The internship program operates on an alternating-week schedule, with students completing approximately 20 internship hours during their assigned internship weeks. The Program Coordinator must be able to maintain consistent communication with interns during these weeks and coordinate regularly with Spectrum Expression leadership.
