Lead Estimator

Job Title: Lead EstimatorLocation: Weatherford, TX (Hybrid flexibility for the right candidate)Southwest Fluid Products, Inc. (SWFP) is hiring a Lead Estimator to own the estimating function across capital projects, service work, and change orders.This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. You'll be responsible for estimate accuracy, fabrication vendor performance, and the standards and discipline that keep projects on budget from day one. It's a role with real ownership and real impact on how projects get built.What you'll do:Develop detailed estimates covering labor, materials, fabrication, equipment, and subcontracted workOwn fabrication vendor performance from estimating through execution — cost, schedule, and qualityEnforce estimating standards, templates, and assumptions across all projectsAnalyze estimate vs. actual performance and continuously sharpen assumptionsCollaborate with Sales, Project Management, Design, and Operations to align scope and cost before projects are finalizedSupport go/no-go decision-making with accurate, defensible cost dataWhat we're looking for:7+ years of experience in estimating, construction, fabrication, or industrial project environmentsStrong background estimating mechanical, fabrication, and construction-related scopesExperience in water and wastewater treatment preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating toolsPMP or CCM certification a plus, but not requiredBachelor's degree preferred, but not requiredWho we are:Founded in 1977, SWFP is one of the last independently owned water and wastewater treatment plant manufacturers in Texas.
