This role ensures new designs are consistent, practical, and ready for global deployment. nResponsibilities nKey Responsibilities nHardware Platform Development & Integration nnnLead integration of rack-level hardware platforms for data center deployment n nnEnsure designs meet requirements for mechanical integrity, thermal performance, serviceability, and scale n nnDrive system-level design across compute, cooling, and infrastructure interfaces n nnPartner with internal and external teams to validate designs n n nData Center Interface & Deployment Readiness nnnDefine platform interfaces with infrastructure, including: n nnLiquid cooling (CDUs, fluid routing, connections) n nnInstallation, transport, and handling n nnFacility interfaces (space, power, cooling, serviceability) n nnEnsure deployment readiness and resolve gaps impacting scale n n nTelemetry & Observability nnnDefine telemetry requirements (power, temperature, flow, pressure, system health) n nnEnsure instrumentation is enabled at deployment n nnPartner with software/data teams to support monitoring and analysis n nnIdentify and close gaps in telemetry coverage and data quality n n nStandards & Documentation nnnDrive standardization across rack platforms n nnEstablish best practices for connections, transport, leak detection, and instrumentation n nnMaintain documentation as a source of truth n n nCross-Functional Leadership nnnCollaborate across OHD, engineering, operations, supply chain, and software teams n nnAlign with external partners (OEMs, silicon vendors) n nnDrive technical decisions and bring structure to complex efforts n n nIssue Resolution & Continuous Improvement nnnTrack and resolve platform issues, especially during early deployment n nnLead root cause analysis and corrective actions n nnUse field data and telemetry insights to improve designs and processes n n nRequired Qualifications nnnBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline n nn6+ years in hardware engineering, mechanical systems, or data center infrastructure n nnExperience with complex, rack- or system-level hardware n nnStrong foundation in mechanical, thermal, and/or fluid systems n nnExperience with hardware instrumentation/telemetry is a plus n nnProven ability to drive outcomes across teams n nnStrong problem-solving and communication skills n n nPreferred Qualifications nnnData center infrastructure and rack-level design experience n nnFamiliarity with liquid cooling (e.g., direct-to-chip, CDU systems) n nnExperience with platform standardization or system integration at scale n nnExperience working with hardware vendors or OEMs n nnExposure to high-density compute platforms (e.g., GPUs) n nnExperience supporting deployment or commissioning n nnFamiliarity with telemetry or performance monitoring systems n n nWhat We're Looking For nnnOwnership: Takes responsibility beyond defined scope n nnSystems Thinking: Understands hardware, infrastructure, and operations holistically n nnExecution: Drives progress in ambiguity n nnCollaboration: Influences across teams n nnDetail Orientation: Ensures designs are practical and deployment-ready n n nDisclaimer: nCertain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements. nRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum.
