The person in this role will lead and support operations on our second shift.\nThe typical hours for second shift are 3:00PM - 12:00AM ET, Monday through Friday. Training is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 6 months.\nProvide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly.\nEstablish standards and expectation for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals.\nCoach employees to improve performance when needed.\nPerform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records.\nManage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees.\nEnsure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements.\nEnsure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety.\nEnsure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly.\nEnsure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld.\nUtilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.\nEnsure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures.\nControl quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nAdvanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience\nQualifications We Prefer:\nDegree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain preferred.\nA&P License or industry experience with turbofan engines.\nPersonnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.\nProven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.\nAbility to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.\nOrganizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred.\nWorking knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).\nExperience using SAP, Solumina, Teamcenter and MS Office Suite.\nAbility to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers\nWhat is my Role Type?\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
