This position is responsible for all activities involving shipping/receiving of raw materials and finished goods, inventory control, support production planning and storage for the site.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nCoordinate the receipt of all inbound shipments of raw goods and transfers, including all documentation, system updates and internal/external communication.\nFacilitate carrier operations and delivery appointments.\nMaintain shipment histories and document files.\nOversee supplier compliance (Pre-notice of shipments, On-time delivery, Proper packaging, and labeling)\nWork with suppliers to resolve overage/shortage & damage issues and file freight claims.\nHandle all railcar movement inbound/outbound, along with managing railcar freight.\nEnsure production and shipping schedule can support weekly demand to meet internal and external demand at the plant and storage terminals.\nManage internal demand of chemicals to locations and the external demand of customer sales including orders out of the plant and/or at storage terminals.\nResolve SAP issues/errors and drive real-time inventory through corrective action plans.\nWork closely with Supply Chain Manager on deviations/variations to the SIOP and escalate deviations to SIOP appropriately.\nWork cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, and Sales/Commercial to adhere to the plan.\nDevelop and communicate demand outlook and ensure production and shipping schedule can support weekly and monthly demand.\nResponsible for raw material and finished goods inventories at the Plant and terminals; perform weekly book v. physical reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.\nReview terminal invoices for accuracy and PO (Purchase Order) processing in SAP.\nMaintain and review SAP data and clear old STOs (Straight to Source orders) that were canceled and/or charged.\nCommunicate loading activity, giving direction to the plan for operations, and third-party terminals on material movements.\nPerform operating system activities and support, identifying areas for continuous improvement on delivery times, cost, and quality of materials from vendors.\nPerform various administrative support duties as needed.\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in related field.\n3+ years of experience in supply chain, scheduling/logistics, or customer service.\n2+ years of experience with SAP.\nAdditional Qualifications:\n\nKnowledge of chemical and/or refining industry\nAdvanced SAP (ECC and/or S4 Hana) knowledge in OM, MM a plus\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills\nKnowledge of metrics including IRA, OTTP, SOTTR, RTDE\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and ability to work in a team environment\nAbility to be self-directed in managing multiple priorities\n\nAt AdvanSix, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past work experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification in the job posting, we encourage you to still apply.
